We have completed an exciting and ambitious project to create a new 400 sq. m headquarters office for Spectrum Corporate Finance on the 7th Floor of Abbey Gardens in central Reading.

Bluewood provided a fully managed and comprehensive service. On time and on budget we created an amazing workspace which included an open plan office area, a stylish suite of board and meeting rooms with "Crital" style glazing and a stunning kitchen / break out area.

We designed and installed contemporary furniture and IT infrastructure throughout the space.

Bluewood undertook a project to transform an 8,000 sq ft Grade 2 listed building and was a great project to be involved in. Pilgrim House was dilapidated and in need of much attention to ensure the space was fit to be the new HQ facility for Southampton Cargo Handling. The property, which was constructed in the mid 1800's was originally used as a Port office however more recently it was a Chinese restaurant, so it was nice to see a business with a nautical link to move into the property. The project involved working collaboratively with our clients and the conservation consultant to create a space that would become an efficient and impressive working environment as well as respecting the beautiful architectural features and structures of the Grade 2 listing. The project involved new ceilings, lath and plaster walls, new electrical and structural cabling installation, air-conditioning, decorations W/C's, flooring.

Office Refurbishment

Bluewood were delighted to be selected to work behind the scenes at Chelsea FC and undertook a project to refurbish and fit-out the Security Control Room at the Club’s training ground in Cobham. An exciting project which was extremely involved. The brief was to re-configure and design the existing space with the addition of a break-out area; installation of LED dimmable lighting throughout; installation of new floor coverings and suspended ceilings and all decorative interior finishing touches to complete the space. The vision was for a light touch look and feel with glass partitioning and doors used to give the illusion of a larger, brighter, open space. We are extremely pleased with the results… see for yourself!

On the instructions of Fortis IBA, a Hampshire based recycling business, Bluewood has carried out works to remedy dilapidations at their former offices at Omega Park in Chandler's Ford. The property comprises 8,000 sq ft of modern offices and our works included stripping out partitioning, removal of the tenant installed electrical and data cabling, repair of ceilings, decoration, flooring and servicing the mechanical and electrical.

We were pleased to complete a project to create a new headquarters office for Raymond Brown in the centre of Chandlers Ford. We were on site for 8 weeks and the works transformed the 2nd floor office from a rather dilapidated disused accommodation in to a modern contemporary space with new A/C. Before we started the space was dark and drab but with the use of glass to create light and space the working environment has been transformed - a hugely successful project!

Bluewood completed a 14-week phased project to refurbish and refit the offices of Claire Logic in Abingdon which extended to approx. 3,000 sq ft. The brief was to create a new contemporary working environment whilst enabling them to continue operating in the property. This was achieved by splitting the job in to two phases. Phase 1 involved moving some staff and meeting facilities into the ground floor of the property to enable us to refurbish the first floor as a high-density desking area with a small 1-2-1 meeting room and kitchenette. Claire Logic then re-located to the first floor so we could build a new and super smart break out area and board room on the ground floor. Working in an environment where office work is ongoing always presents a challenge however the project was successful, and our client was pleased with the management of the project as well as the end result. The project involved new W/C's, flooring, suspended ceiling, a break out area, new lighting and electrical installation, air-conditioning and decorating.

Bluewood achieved the successful completion of a project for respected Hampshire joinery firm S B Joinery. We embarked upon works within their factory near Stockbridge. The task was to design and build a two-storey structure to house a modern contemporary space to be used by their administration and senior management teams. It was a complicated process which involved construction as well as fitting out works which were ongoing whilst the joinery workshop remained fully functional. We were delighted to report that the project was delivered on time and the space looks great!

Bluewood have completed a project to create two suites of 300 and 600 sq. m on the ground floor of a modern office building. The works involved the installation of a new entrance, splitting the electrical supplies, erecting fire rated dividing walls, installation of new LED lighting and making alterations to an existing HVAC system.

Bluewood Office Interiors were instructed to undertake a dilapidations refurbishment of a subtantial office building to provide grade A open plan office space suitable for re-letting in the market. Complete internal and external refurbishment of a 13,000 sq ft office building for SWATCH UK. Works included a comprehensive refurbishment of the entire property including office space, WC's, M&E, windows, ceilings, flooring and also the installation of meeting rooms, offices, laboratories and break out areas.

The division of an existing first floor office space in to two separate suites. The works consisted of the installation of sound proofed partitioning, fire doors, glazed units with integral blinds, a meeting room, a new lobbied corridor and the reconfiguration of the lights and switching. Works were completed upon the instructions of our clients Acoustic Solutions with Ribbon Projects creating the design solution.

Dilapidations work

On behalf of private clients who were coming to the end of a lease commitment we provided advice relating to works required to comply with their repair and reinstatement obligations (ie dilapidations). We then carried out those works leaving the property as a decorated shell with carpeted floors, new ceiling tiles and new lighting.

Wine Bar

Bluewood were excited to be involved in an interesting project at Newlyns Farm to create a wine bar within a newly constructed barn. The shell consisted of approx. 180 sq m which has now been transformed to characterful space for the sale of fine wines. We worked closely with Ribbon Projects to create the right ambiance and our works included lighting, decoration, installation of the bar and the construction of a bespoke steel wall. This project took 3 weeks on site.

Office Buildings

Bluewood have recently completed works to combine two existing office buildings to form a single office of circa 6,200 sq ft. Working around our client ID Gateway who maintained occupation throughout the project we created three large structural openings, constructed a new boardroom, comms room, open plan office and a breakout area. We also installed new data cabling, lighting, air conditioning and power throughout. The project took 6 weeks on site.
